Entertainer, media personality, and popular television and radio host John Tesh reveals the untold story of how his struggles, failures, and greatest disappointments were the secret to his success
In 2015, John Tesh survived a terminal cancer diagnosis by relying on the focused determination that has been the hallmark of his career. In Relentless, Tesh uncovers the origins of this remarkable trait and how it shaped his life. From childhood in an abusive home and isolation as a cripplingly shy “band geek,” Tesh’s path to success was anything but certain. Kicked out of college and living in a tent in a North Carolina park, he talked his way into a part-time job at a news station and parlayed into meteoric career in journalism, covering Wimbledon and the Tour de France and eventually becoming co-host of Entertainment Tonight. An aspiring musician, his self-produced first album sold a mere one thousand copies, yet he persuaded Public Television to let him fund and produce “John Tesh: Live at Red Rocks,” which became one of Public Television’s most successful-ever specials. And his self-produced radio show “Intelligence for Your Life” now airs on over two hundred radio stations.
